How to choose mattress bag dimensions
Measure the mattress, not just the size label. Record width, length and depth, then confirm the bag’s usable opening, internal dimensions and gusset convention.
Start with three measurements
Record the actual mattress width, length and depth in a consistent unit. Twin, Full, Queen and King labels alone do not confirm that a bag will fit.
Confirm the bag construction
A flat bag and a side-gusseted bag use different dimension conventions. Ask which measurements refer to usable internal space, and whether the gusset number means total expansion or one side.
Allow for insertion and closure
Tell the supplier how the mattress will be inserted and how the opening will close. Confirm required clearance with a sample rather than assuming the listed bag dimensions guarantee fit.
What to send for a quote
Actual mattress dimensions, current bag dimensions, a construction photo, closure requirement, quantity and destination.
